Thekkady: Periyar Wild life sanctuary, probably the only place where one can site wildlife, especially elephants, very close while on a boat ride through the man made Periyar lake

Valanganam Waterfalls: The cool spray of this waterfalls is sure to be a thrilling experience.

Pallikkunnu: The architectural marvel of the Church built by the European Planters and Architechts is all time attraction on this hill.

Summer Palace (of Sri Chithira Thirunal): An astounding teak structure (though in dilapidated condition now) with its corroded floor tiles, the smoke stained hearths, the great underground escape passage, the stables etc tell tales of yore bringing back memories of erstwhile royal aristocracy of the Travancore royal family.

Madammakkulam: A natural pond at the foot of an enchanting waterfall. It is said that European ladies used to take their daily bath in the privacy of this pond encircled by deep woods on all sides – Hence the name
